community of families actively sharing faith traditions
to respect each other and celebrate, explore, question and enjoy both religious traditions equally.
not to reject religious backgrounds, nor seek a new religion that is a mixture of Christian and Jewish belief, but to honor the distinct religious traditions and to share those traditions with spouses, partners and children.
the community includes those who continue to practice a faith, and those who do not. Many IFFP parents have chosen not to select one religion for their children, but rather to instill in them an appreciation and understanding of both heritages. Other IFFP parents have chosen one religion for their children but want them to gain knowledge about both of their cultural heritages. The community provides a sense of connection and support that is a valuable part of the experience as an interfaith family.
Staff, Church and membership. IFFP is a member-driven organization. IFFP is self-supporting and financed entirely through annual membership fees, contributions, and Sunday School tuition. Membership is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
The Interfaith Families Program is an active and vibrant community. We have a weekly program on Sunday, which includes a gathering, sunday school, and an adult group discussion. Throughout the year, we sponsor special events, workshops and community service opportunities for members of all ages.
