to welcome, stand with, and celebrate the major faith and spiritual traditions in the community, promoting understanding, respect, and cooperative activities while partnering with other organizations to realize our common values and goals.
Goals
to have a peaceful, connected community in which all religions are respected, and in which housing, education, and health needs are met, where fair and equitable access to economic and social well-being prevail, and where no-one is homeless, hungry, hated or excluded. To maintain a diverse community and celebrate its interdependence which is strengthened and fortified by the shared values of the respective faith traditions. To find humane solutions to local issues and needs through service in partnership with individuals, agencies and organizations.
Approach
faith and spiritual foundation compel us to lead in the struggle to bring interfaith understanding, role as convener and catalyst requires us to engage people, build trust, and establish significant working relationships with and among diverse groups, dedicated to remaining relevant, learning the most effective ways to gather and motivate people, and operating in the most effective manner possible for interfaith advocacy.
